2. What is the aim of this site?
I come from the same Town as the Milliondollarhomepage man Alex Tew (Swindon) and was actually featured alongside him in our local paper as we both started up new websites in 2005. My site is www.astroluvlink.com and it is doing very well. My core skills are in sales and marketing and I wanted to find another unique way of advertising my own sites and sites for my clients. So here I am with my own pixel site TheMagicPix.co.uk! The idea for the site name came to me easily as I enjoy giving freebees away and I also donate to charities especially the RSPCA (Royal Society of Prevention Cruelty to Animals). If you land on the ‘Charity Hot Spots’ you can choose who you wish to donate to and we shall send them 50% of the cost of your ad purchase and of course your name and company name will be attached to the donation. I shall be maximizing the site by adding this site to the top of the search engines and also to other top pix sites such as www.sexypixelshomepage.com. 3. How do I make a pixel advert?
If you are using windows click "start", "programs" "accesories" then "paint".
Then on the bar at the top click "Image" then "Attributes"
Select "Pixels" as the units then type in the width and height you would like to make your pixel ad. ie. 10x10, 40x40 etc. then click "OK"
It's a bit hard to draw anything when it's so small so click "view" "zoom" "custom" "800%" "ok"
Then get drawing!
When you're done save your pixel ad (as a .gif or .jpg is ussually best) and you're ready to upload it!
4. How do I upload my advert?
It couldn't be easier and it's automated so you can have your advert up in a matter of minutes! Simply click upload on the bar at the top. Then select the .jpg or .gif image you would like to use off your hard drive using the "Browse". Click on the grid where you would like it to go, enter the details of your site and then click "Confirm and Pay". You are then taken to paypal where you can pay for your advert. Your advert is posted as soon as the payment is complete!
5. How much does it cost?
Each pixel costs just 10 cents and don’t forget that there are 7 x 50 which makes 350 free pixels up for grabs and if you land on any of these you get that pixel free!
6. How long will this site be online?
This site will be online for an absolute minimum of 2 years -- most likely 3 to 5 years. As long as the site is getting traffic, it will stay up!
